I
spent the fourth of July
with my manager Alex at
the Yamoshiro Restaurant
in the Hollywood Hills.
It was an over cast
night and it wasn’t as
personal as the
Hollywood Bowl fireworks
display but you could
see though the murky sky
and it kind of looked
like Baghdad on TV
during the first days of
the war.
It wasn’t packed like we
thought it would be and
you could see the
fireworks all over the
city from the restaurant
and the garden. I saw
John Nixon there who
told me he is opening a
Star Shoes bar and
restaurant in Las Vegas
in addition to his LA
location. Tori Spelling
was party planning in
the booth next to us.
She looked like
Lambchops from the
Sherry Lewis show with
her bushy eyelashes. The
service was horrible, it
took 40 minutes for our
drinks, 1 hour for two
of the three appetizers,
and the last one
straggles 30 minutes
later. The food wasn’t
as good as I remembered
but perhaps if was an
off night for the chef.
Firstly let me say, I
love Wrestling, I like
to see it and I like to
do it. My grandfather
rest his soul made us
watch it on TV every
week. I once wrestled
Ninochka from Glow
{gorgeous Ladies of
Wrestling), she won and
I put on Rock and
wrestling shows with
Goth Queen, Eva O and
the Speed Queens (www.evao.com)
and legendary rock gals,
L7 in the 80’s.
I went to Lucha Va Voom
at the Mayan for two
nights of sexo y
violencia in two
different shows I went
both nights. The show is
producer by two very
cool, very smart women,
Rita D’Albert and Liz
Fairbairn. On the first
night I assisted Eric
Caiden the owner of
Hollywood Book and
Poster selling wrestling
mask, posters, Faster
Pussycat Kill Kill tee
shirts and wrestling
DVD's. Eric also puts on
the best events in LA
all the time. He’s been
going to see these shows
all his life. We are
devotees of the Sport.
Senor Amor was the DJ
and the music was
fantastic. Tim Ferris
formally of Celebrity
Skin was videotaping the
action up close and
personal. My first
customer was David
Arquette in his
wrestling mask and black
and white winged suit.
The first night David
was a guest host the
second night actor Jack
Black joked with the
hosts and made us all
laugh out loud.
He was in the champion
of the WWF for two week
going down in wrestling
history. Did I tell you
about the Burlesque
queens that danced and
the cat fighting cuties?
The Poubelle twins each
other over the Midget
Que Monto’s love.
The gay wrestler
Cassadro , The Durango
Kid, Los Gallinero’s,
and Super Porky, The
fattest twister I ever
did see challenger the
ropes Macarita Sagrada,
Angel The Human Tornato
and the almighty Mik
Mascara’s tossed the
likes of mini tough guys
Tsuki and Que Monito
beat up the big guys.
The very funny Blaine
Capatch and Tom Kenny
hosted it. They have a
great banter and their
timing was perfect, the
very yummy el Jimador
Tequila sponsored all of
this. Hey send me a
case! That stuff is
good!
The Luchadores were fun
but the Buxoticas were
out of this world.
Erochica, Ming Dynatease
in all here peeling
oriental glory for all
to see, Michelle Lamour,
My new gal pal Summer
Peaches, Karis, Roxy
Roulette, Urslina, Frida
Kulo, who kissed the
girls and made them cry
after painting their
imaginary portraits and
my personal fave rave
Kitten De Ville who
looks like Marilyn
Monroe and shakes like a
EARTHQUAKE.
The After parties were
hosted at the Velvet
Margarita Mexican
Restaurant and ultra
Lounge and the next
night at the Golden
Gopher and the Broadway
Bar, Downtown, my friend
Monica and Rick designed
both Bars and they are
Gorgeous. The next Lucha
Va Voom show is the
Halloween Show October
27th at thee Mayan
Theater. Check it out at
www.luchavavoom.com
Be there or miss out!!!
Don’t forget the Fetish
Ball returns in all it’s
decadent splendor with a
double dose of
hedonistic highjinx on
July 22 and 23 at the
Key C with Courtney
Cruz, Spanking Machine,
Powder and Amanda Lepore
.go and then come to
Sinister and play!
I went to the signing
party for The Devills
Rejects at Hollywod Book
and Poster. My friends
from LA Tattoo waited in
line from 10am till 3pm
when they opened there
doors. We went in at
4:30 and we were given
posters and passes to
the movie at Manns
Chinese. In line I
kabitzed with Lee from
LA Tattoo, Beth Death
and Marvin the monkey,
My pal Ron Jeremy showed
up twice (he was great
in Faster Pussy Cat Fuck
Fuck where he kept his
clothes ON!) Everyone
was there except Rob and
Sherry Zombie, who got
some private time, Rob
had just done a very
sucessful Ramones Rock n
Roll High School movie
viewing at the Hollywood
Graveyard where Joey
Ramone is Buried. Did
you know there is a Joey
Ramone Place in New
York?
