Here we are, one nation
under Chicken fries, or
was it kingdom, they
changed the words
because some on got
offended. Don’t you
think things like CSI
and House should offend
them, I hate spinal tap
scenes unless it’s the
band.
I just came from seeing
Joe Wood at Boardner's.
He’s doing some really
cool stoner rap. The
visuals are hot; they
have images of The
Wizard of Oz, dancing
down the Yellow brick
road, Vietnam, Where the
boys are smoking hashish
from guns. Very cool
images Steve Mc Queen in
his fast cars, while Joe
and Mario rapped. They
have a bitchin CD and
they will play at
Boardner's again on a
Tuesday night soon. I
suggest you check them
out.
The Germs movie
recreated the Starwood
at SIR studio’s I hung
out with Don Adey who
works at the studio, but
I just can’t resist a
slam pit so I through
myself in. I saw Don
Bolles, Paul and Helen
Rossler who looked
great, Helen is a drug
counselor now, Kira,
some guy named Rick who
had my ‘ Make the music
go bang’ book, left his
trailer, which had
pictures of all of us in
the 80’s. The jury’s out
whether I will ever see
my book again Still the
same old punks…. Pat
Smear and Kira signed it
and I was so looking
forward to my book being
in my collection, My
cool friend Charlie from
Custom made Scare and
Scrotum and Jive Ass,
was rocking the room. As
we all know it’s not a
real party till the cops
show up so we did Darby
proud with a mini riot.
When Darby was alive
(Darby was played by
Sean West very well) he
asked me if I would keep
Punk Rock alive, of
course I said yes, but
something worried me
about his tone. He was
dead a few days later
from a Heroin overdose.
I heard the reformed
Germs played at
Dragonfly, the club last
week and well they
should. Darby would have
loved that too!

DEVO played at the House
of Blues. My friends,
Author Kathy Tracy,
Karen, Alex and Lon said
were the same as they
where in the 80’s. They
said they were rocking
the packed house to
hysteria. I called Mark
Mothersbaugh, whom I
sang the title song for.
Which he won an Emmy,
but he doesn’t do
messages, He’s just so
busy sometimes, I missed
him and I went to
Dragonfly clothing and
got at DEVO tee shirt
instead. Lon wore his
Atila sextee and people
went wild You can
see them too at
www.Sextees.net.
The hot House of Blues
crew asked to buy them.
I thought that was cool.
The next night I was at
the 7th anniversary of
Bar Sinister with HTTH
(Heavenly Trip to Hell).
The Camel people had an
amazing party. They are
sponsoring El Vez and
Puddle of Mudd at the El
Rey this week. That’s
going to be a blast.
The Velvet Margarita has
a two for one night on
Mondays and that is a
great place to hang out.
Daddy Carlos and Ritchie
Rich are spinning
records. Ritchie is also
spinning at the Beauty
Bar.
The Sunset Junction is
going to be cool, Weapon
of Choice, the New York
Dolls and more. Don’t
miss it!
Happy Birthday to
Happening Harry and his
amazing bass player
Roxy, who is the sexiest
man in rock and roll.

I went to the Festival
of the Chariots at
Venice Beach. It was a
beautiful day and George
Harrison’s music filled
the air. Paul Picasso
from Youth Party and
Brenda Starlight and I
bought memento’s from
the day’s festivities.
It was a Krishna temple
shopping spree and it
was great to eat the
free food and sing
along. What a way to
rock!
